Finally finished my poncho.

Cream and Puple Poncho Hand knitted - One of a Kind - Womens - Acrylic Wool mix

My mom found two crocheted shawls she had made in the 1970's that had been packed away for years.  I remember having one myself, well actually four of them, I don't know what ever happened to those. I remember wearing them for nights out and with my jeans. I wonder if I can convince her to dig out the pattern and make me one.
70's Vintage Hand crocheted Fringed Shawl - Off White/Cream - Brushed Acrylic.

Have been listening/watching the tennis on my laptop while keeping up with my emails and sadly one of my favourite players, Lleyton Hewitt, lost but he never gave up trying that's why he is so good.

Hopefully will be able to watch some more tennis later when I have time to knit.

Hope all having a good day and the weather isn't as dull as it is here.

Well just got back from a walk in torrential rain with my dogs, even they wanted to come home and that never happens!  Slipped a few times on the grass but the dogs thought I was playing and decided to jump all over me. So apart from being very wet I am also covered in mud.  Some would call that a fun walk.

This is Benton our big daft dog who loves cuddles and is so friendly but so clumsy and active. He thinks he's a lapdog.

Will add a picture of Clifford later - no he isn't a big red dog, we rescued him 8 years ago as he was found abandoned on Clifford Street.  He is the smaller cuddly not so active dog.

Well off to finish my poncho now. It is so dark outside and just heard the thunder, if it wasn't so warm I would light our log fire as that makes the room so cosy.

First post

Well this is my first post on my blog and I am having a coffee and a Mars Bar before I start knitting - don't want chocolate on my wool!  I have spent a few hours today cleaning out chicken coops, guinnea pigs and rabbit hutches.  The wind is so strong here today I'm not going outside again.

I have knit a three new hats this week from a variety of yarns.  I do prefer knitting with natural wool but just found a smooth acrylic yarn that looks like cotton and decided to try that. It was really nice to knit with and the hats look great.

Now off to knit, really should be washing carpets but I will save that for another day.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend and wherever you are you don't have the wind :)
